  • 3rd - Payson - Intermediate Fly-Tying Join the Payson Flycasters to improve your skills in the art of fly-tying. Participants at this level must bring their own basic fly-tying supplies and have either completed beginning flytying or have previous experience. Participants get to take home what they make.   • 7th - Show Low - Concerts in the Park begin in June at Show Low City Park, Senior Field, 1100 W. Deuce of Clubs. This year’s offerings, presented by Show Low’s parks and recreation department, include three entertaining and high-energy bands. There is no charge for admission. The HayMakers perform rock-a-billy and ‘50s-style rock on Saturday, June 7, at 7 p.m. Their performance is the closing note to Saturday’s Show Low Days events, which features the best of White Mountain bands during the White Mountain Music Showcase beginning at 11 a.m. Woodenickel brings classic and contemporary country and rock on Saturday, June 21, at 7 p.m. The opening act begins at 5:30 p.m. The series’ final concert on Saturday, July 19, features Big Daddy D and the Dynamites playing a variety of soul and rhythm and blues at 7 p.m. Midnite Blues performs at 5:30 p.m. The theme of the July 19 concert is “Knocking the Blues out of Hunger” and concertgoers are urged to bring non-perishable canned goods to the concert to support food banks in the White Mountains. Concertgoers are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets. No glass containers or dogs are allowed.
