Larson Memorial Public Library is honored to help the people of the Pinetop~Lakeside community. Here's a list of our policies to help you get a library card, get on the Interenet, or how to use the computer.

Library Cards
Did you know that library cards are free. All we need is a phone number to reach you at and you need to at least 18 years of age. Parents may sign up their children for library cards.

Loan Periods
Our normal check out time for out books are three weeks. If these 21 days are not enough just give us a call and renew over the phone. New books and cassettes are only for two weeks and have no renewal, so you better read fast! Magazines are only checked out for one week.

Borrowing Limits
Are you worried about not being able to get enough of the books you need. Larson Library has no limit on the amount of books you can check out, but the staff may limit you on high demand items.

Returning Material
All material needs to be returned to Larson Library. If you are unable to make during our hours don't fret, we have night box just for you.

Extended Use Fees (Fines)
The items you check out are of course free. Unfortunately every good thing has a black spot. Since we want to provide every book to every person we like to have them circulating through out the city. When you start to hold on to an item to long we are required to charge a late fee.

1. Books and magazines $.10 per day
2. New books and cassette tapes $.25 per day

Individual items can accumulate a maximum fine of 5.00. Unpaid fines, overdue books, or lost book charges of $5.00 or more result in suspension of borrowing privileges.

The Larson Memorial Library provides public access computers for its patrons. Word-processors and spreadsheet software, CD ROM Reference materials, and Internet are all available.

The Internet stations located in the Larson Memorial Public Library supports it mission of providing free and open public access to information of all types in a wide range of formats.

We also provide access to the Internet for the children as well. We provide a computer with filtering software to limit children's exposure to some websites. This software may not block all material users find offensive. Parents my wish to supervise their children's Internet sessions. Parents may give their children written permission to use unfiltered computers.
