Corner), has League Rounds on Sunday Morning @ 9:00 A.M. So Everyone try to play Disc Golf 3 days a week. The Show Low Course has 18 Holes with alternate pin placements and the work on the new T-Pads at Show Low Park is finished, they are really works of art ! July 7th - 8th. This years Ice Bowl was held at Show Low Park, we collected $315 in cash and an estimated 50lb's of food for Friends of the Mountain Food Bank & Thrift Store. There where Lots of C.T.P. prizes and a Trophy for the winners in each division. We would like to thank Steve Johnston for running the show, and our thanks to everyone who attended the Tournament. We would like to recognize the accomplishments of our local disc golfers in the last few months. First our newest pro golfer Paul, who took first place in the Worlds Am Championships (way to go Paul) & Mannys son Nickolas who now holds the World Record for a long distance throw of ANY 7 or 8 year old. Also congrats to Jack for winning 1st place in the Halloween Classic in Las Vegas & Ken placed well and made us all proud for pushing through his injury, I think everyone had a better score than I, but I had a real good time (mission accomplished). Here it comes... The Top Of The Pines Disc Golf Tournament... July 15th & 16th, this is a Cactus Series Event ! & will be held at Show Low & Wood Land Courses (weather permitting) if it is too muddy at Wood Land all four rounds will be held at the Show Low Course ! There will also be a Doubles round and registration on Friday the 14th, for more information contact Steve Johnston - 928-536-5704. The best disc golfers in Arizona attended the High Desert Tournament in Snowflake, & Paul beat all of them in the OPEN division (way to go Paul)... The Boogy Band played into the night, and everyone got bloated on the good food that Manny's wife cooked up for his birthday... and I had way too much fun ( I Lost ! ) but had a real good time. ICE BOWL Amateur Disc Golfers from Around the World gathered in Flagstaff last week for the Worlds Amateur Disc Golf Tournament... a hand full the White Mountains Best Amateur Golfers attended the event and did Quite Well... for more information use... The 4th Annual "Top Of The Pines" Disc Golf Tournament was held at the Show Low City Park Disc Golf Course, July 10th - 11th 2004 We Had a Great Time ! Wood Land Disc Golf, Ice Bowl 2004 ! the Benefit Tournament for Friends of the Mountain, was Sunday the 8th of February & it was a Wonderful Day for Disc Golf ! Lots of Players, Pizza for Lunch, a Bunch of Food Was Donated & a Chunk of Cash for the Friends of the Mountain, We had a Very Good Time, Prizes & Trophies for the Winners in Each Division. Wood Land Disc Golf, 3rd Annual Tournament, Top Of The Pines Tournament was a Blast ! Our Lions Club Benefit Disc Golf Tournament Was a Success with $350 Collected for Camp Tatiyee. Woodland Disc Golf Association has built a Disc Golf Course in the new Woodland Multi-Use Park. The Disc Golf Course is now open for FREE use with baskets donated by local business and individuals. The Wood Land Course in Pinetop-Lakeside is Off Woodland Rd, Behind the Woodland Business Complex, in the new multi use park just finished, ( where the festival site has sometimes been in the summer ). Coming from Show Low , go through Lakeside until you find the street light on Woodland Rd, by Blue Ridge High School, Turn right on Woodland Rd, about 1 mile down on the left, there is a sign on the left showing the entrance to the park.
